2. In short
Scanner QR does not collect any personal data.
There are no accounts to create, no usage analytics, no advertising and no in-app purchases. The app does not connect to the internet: it contains no code that sends data to, or receives data from, any server, ours or anyone else’s.
Everything the app does, it does on your phone.
3. Camera
The camera is used to read QR codes and barcodes. The image in the viewfinder is analysed on the device, by the operating system, for as long as it takes to recognise a code.
- No photograph is taken
- No image is stored
- No image leaves your phone
You can deny camera access: the app still works, and you can read codes from photos you already have.
4. Photos
If you choose “Pick a photo”, iOS shows you your library and the app receives only the image you select. It is analysed on the device to look for a code, and is neither kept nor transmitted.
The permission to save to your photo library is used only when you ask to save a code you created.
5. History of scanned codes
The codes you read are kept in a store on your phone, so you can find them again. The store holds the content of the code, its type and the date it was read.
- It stays on the device and is never uploaded anywhere
- The last 10 codes are kept, plus the ones you mark as favourites
- You can delete a single entry or the whole history from the app
- You can turn saving off entirely in the app’s settings
- If you uninstall the app, iOS removes the store with it
6. Link safety check
When a code contains a web address, the app runs some checks and warns you if the address has characteristics common to scams.
These checks happen entirely on your phone, comparing the address against rules written into the app. The address is not sent to any service, ours or anyone else’s.

7. When you leave the app
If you decide to open an address, the app hands it to your phone’s browser. From that moment the privacy practices of that website and of your browser apply, and we have no control over them. The same is true of the links to our legal pages and to our developer page on the App Store.
8. Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and, since it collects no data at all, it processes no children’s data.
9. Your rights
Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) gives you rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability over your personal data.
Because this app neither collects nor receives any personal data, there is no store on our side against which to exercise those rights: the data produced by using the app stays solely on your device, under your control. You can still write to info@prgspace.com with any question.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority. In Italy this is the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (www.garanteprivacy.it).
10. Apple
The app is distributed by Apple through the App Store. Apple collects data about App Store downloads and usage on its own account, under its own privacy policy, over which we have no control and to which we have no identifiable access.
11. Changes to this policy
If a future version of the app introduces features that involve processing data — advertising or in-app purchases, for example — this policy will be updated before that version is published, and the date at the top will say so.
